The national integration camp, also known as Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat camp, was conducted by 1TN Battery unit of NCC on October 17 for six days. During the first three days of the online camp, the cadets were briefed on the various changes due to the pandemic. The various cultural programs conducted were recorded at famous places in different States, such as Marina Beach and Palm Grove Officers Institute, Tamil Nadu. The cultural programs represented the history and evolution of each State in India. Later, these clips were compiled into an hour-long video that was uploaded on YouTube.
CUO K.T.Pooja Shree, NCC cadet from one of the autonomous institutions in Chennai, said that this program was relatively new and unusual compared to the previous years. They had to record the audio and the video of the cultural activities separately and later combine them.
NC1 Rajashree Vani talked about how she participated in a quiz competition between Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh Directorate. Along with four other batchmates, they won the quiz competition.
The cadets commented on how the activities were refreshing for their competitive spirit during the lockdown.
